Dr Teo was amongst the early pioneers of patient specific instrumentation, one the latest advances in personalised joint replacement that allows cutting edge precision in implanting knee replacement to every patient’s specific requirements. He has had vast experience in Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery (CAOS), and the use of individualised customisation for minimally invasive (MIS) Hip and Knee replacements. His expertise covers orthopaedic management and surgery, with sub-specialties in Hip & Knee replacements. In 1998, he completed his Medical Bachelor’s from the National University of Ireland, and was amongst the first Asians to win the coveted Mercier Book Prize as Top scholar.Ī recipient of the prestigious NUH Young Doctor Award for his work in Stem Cell Therapy in 2003, Dr Teo furthered his clinical fellowship in Joint Replacement Surgery in Melbourne, Australia, following his HMDP (High Manpower Development Program) scholarship award by the Ministry of Health, Singapore.ĭr Teo currently holds appointment as the Head of Adult Reconstruction, Department of Orthopaedics, with Tan Tock Seng Hospital. ![]() Med Ortho (National University Singapore) 2002ĭr Teo Yee Hong obtained his Masters of Medicine from the National University of Singapore in 2002, and is a Fellow of the distinguished Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
